10 Follow-Up Email Samples After Your Child’s Teacher Is Not Responding To Email

Admin

Often, when we send an email and we don’t get a response, it could be that the recipient is not interested, they are not convinced enough to give you their attention or they have a very busy schedule and haven’t checked their emails, it could even be that they receive a lot of emails and probably yours was lost. But a follow-up email could do the magic.

According to research, a follow-up email has a higher chance of getting a response than a cold email or initial email.

A follow-up email is a reminder email that you send to an addressee that you have previously contacted. This email aims to bring to mind your previous messages to them, prompt a reply, or cause them to take action.

And a follow-up email can be sent more than once all you have to do is follow the process.

A follow-up email includes :

  • A Personal greeting
  • A reminder of your last message
  • Emphases on your purpose
  • More Added worth
  • A comprehensive call to action
  • Appreciation
  • A friendly closure.

The purpose of this article is to show you samples of follow-up emails you can send to your child’s teacher when you are not getting a response.

Dear Miss xxxx,

Trust you are doing well. I am texting again to follow up on our previous discussion concerning Maryann because I have not heard from you regarding it.

In my previous email, I mentioned that; Maryann has started her therapist session and I would love a daily report on her progress in school that can be attached to her homework pad.

I am aware of your busy schedule, but I’d appreciate your input on this, as this will help us monitor her progress and see specific arrears to focus on.

However, if you have anyone In place of you that I can reach out to on this particular issue, I’ll be grateful if you could let me know.

Child's Teacher Is Not Responding To Email

Dear Mr. xxxx,

I hope this message finds you well. In case you missed my previous email regarding Paul’s graduation, I would love to remind you.

In my previous email, I stated that Paul needs to graduate and get his first leaving school certificate immediately, the reason being that he would be leaving the country to join his brother in the States and I wouldn’t like him to continue in elementary school when we get there.

I would like for Paul to take extra lessons under your tutorship to enable him to prepare for these exams and for you to also let me know where I should step in as a parent assistant.

Your timely response will be highly appreciated, so we can begin the process.

I am grateful for the effort you put into my Child’s studies, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Hello Mr xxxx,

How are you doing? I’d like to remind you of our need to meet to discuss my child’s performance.

I already picked a date in the previous email which I believe would be convenient for us, and since I didn’t get a reply I assume it isn’t.

I would love you to pick a date this time around and schedule the meeting, and I’ll make adjustments myself and attend. I would be glad if we could get to this as soon as possible, as Damian’s father is already considering withdrawing him from your school, which I know both of us don’t want.

Please note that you are highly appreciated for your attention to  Damians’s education.

Kind regards,

Mrs xxxx

Follow Up On Child’s Academic Performance

Subject: Finding out again on my child’s academic performance

Child's Teacher Is Not Responding To Email

Hello Mr xxxx,

Warm greetings, I see that you have not received my mail, because I am yet to get a response from you and I am aware of your busy schedules, taking care of children can be time-consuming.

I am not satisfied with my daughter’s performance in class and it is becoming an issue at home and I would like your urgent attention to be able to find a solution to it.

First off I would like to thank you for your effort and patience with her. Monica is a slow learner but I can see some improvement but we are not yet there.

As I stated in the previous letter;

I would like for her to take on extra lessons, every day except on Sunday. On Saturday I can bring her to your preferred location or we can do it at my place and your logistics would be covered.

I would love for her to have a series of tests apart from class tests so that we can see her learning ability.

Lastly, I would like a daily report on Monica’s behavior in class.

These suggestions are for discussion and I would also like to know if you have more ideas on what can be done to improve Monica’s performance.

I hope we can come up with an agreement quickly. Looking forward to your immediate response.

Thank you once again.

Sincerely,

Mrs xxxx (Monica’s mother)

Follow Up On Your Child’s Welfare

Subject: Follow up on Bruno’s neglect in school

Hello Teacher xxxx,

It has come to my notice that my son comes home weak and hungry,  with his food untouched. And I have previously made a complaint to you via email which I didn’t get a response to.

This matter is of great concern and I would like you to get into it urgently. I understand that you have a lot on your table and that you might not look at all your messages, which is why I am texting you again regarding this.

These are the suggestions I made in the past email to help Bruno in eating. My son is quite a shy person and might not be comfortable eating when the class is full;

You can bring his table and chair close to yours in the front so he doesn’t have to notice others eating.

If that doesn’t work, once everyone has gone out to eat do not allow him to go out to play but sit him back down so he can have his meal then.

Please also monitor his eating habits and make sure he finishes his food.

If all these do not proffer a solution, please do not hesitate to contact me immediately.

An immediate response would be appreciated, I will write out my number and also my address where you can reach me.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Warm regards,

Mrs Connel,

Follow Up On Your Child’s Performance In Class

Subject: Follow up on Polycarp performance in class

Dear Teacher xxxx,

I hope you are fully recovered now. I got the message that you were sick. I am reaching out to remind you of my child’s performance in class.

Remember you asked me to send you an email concerning that,  but since I didn’t get a reply I know you must not have seen it, due to the time you spent in the hospital.

Let me write out my suggestions as I stated earlier in the previous mail.

  • Polycarp’s seat should be moved from the back and taken to the front.
  • Polycarp should be monitored throughout the lesson period in class to ensure full concentration when the teacher is teaching.
  • My son complains of being flogged a lot. Please reduce it.

This is not helping him, but making him rebellious. There are other ways to discipline him, you can even have a heart-to-heart conversation with him and let him know the consequences of failing. I do this at home and believe me it works faster.

  • Don’t allow him to play too much during the break period, once he is done eating, give him a few minutes of rest and swamp with his class books.

I would also like for us to organize an after-school lesson for him so that he can revise what he has been taught.

If you have more suggestions on what can be done to improve Polycarp’s performance please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

Polycarp’s father and I would love to see an improvement this term, else we might change his school.

Do take care of yourself, and thank you for the efforts and time you put into taking care of our children.

Please drop your account details. My family would love to pay part of your hospital bill.

Kind regards,

Mrs xxxx

Polycarp’s mother.

Notice Of Absence From the   Valedictory Ceremony

Subject: Follow up on the absence of my daughter at her valedictory ceremony

Dear Teacher xxxx

I hope you are well. I appreciate your effort in my daughter’s education up to her graduation.

Unfortunately, she won’t be present at her valedictory ceremony, because she will be leaving the country two days after her exams.

I sent you an email in respect to this but I am yet to get a reply. But I haven’t gotten a response.

This is a warm reminder because we would need Ann’s result to be collated and sent to us, while all her properties should also be given to her after her final exams.

We appreciate all your work in our daughter’s life, and our family are grateful.

We would like an immediate response that confirms that you have seen this and that our request will be granted.

Thank you once again.

Best Wishes,

Mr xxxx
